Meet the cockatoo who can’t stop watching ‘Wicked’

The 2025 Golden Globes air this weekend, but you don’t have to wait until then to find out how one particularly feathered critic feels about ‘Wicked.’ Ever since the movie was released digitally on New Year’s Eve, a bird named Pearl can’t get enough!

If you’re anything like us, ‘Wicked’ has occupied most of your brain since its release in November 2024. Now fans can enjoy the movie at home by buying or renting the digital version. And ‘Thank God’ because Pearl, the cockatoo from Florida, is possessed!

In a couple of videos shared by a TikTok user @tammy.jarrett0, Pearl Cockatoo can’t get enough of ‘Wicked’ by opening scene to the finals.

In this four-minute video, Pearl bops and weaves to the beat of one of the film’s biggest songs, “What Is This Feeling?” and repeatedly shouts “I love you!” on the screen. We totally understand, Pearl; we love ‘Wicked’ Cocka-also! Sorry, some bird humor.

Although the film came out fairly recently, Pearl is no stranger to ‘Wicked,’ says Jenkins. In the column “How does this feel?” Captioning the video, Jenkins writes, “Pearl LOVES to sing and dance! I had no idea how happy her love for Wicked would make people! soundtrack it’s been our favorite for years ☺️”

Well, that’s wonderful. And the rest of TikTok agrees: “I would watch this cockatoo if I watched the whole movie lol,” commented one user.
